Naar watervallen van Chiang Mai.

We vertrokken vroeg met een tuk-tuk naar de parkeerplaats waar de wandelroute naar de watervallen Sai Yoi en Monthathan begint. Leo beschreef onze belevenissen als volgt:

"Hiking day outside Chiang Mai. First with the tuktuk to the start point of the hiking trail. When we started walking, we learned we had to conquer 600 meters altitude.

It is a hike first to a viewing point and a very old temple complex.

After the hike to the first waterfall, Say Yoi. See the movie. It was a sometimes super steep walk, and other moments it was okay flat.

After waterfall 1, the plan was to go to waterfall two. We crossed the river by walking through the water. Right away, it became super difficult, and we even had to glide down because of the steepness.

It did not feel okay and too dangerous, so we decided to skip and walk back the same way we came.

Now, while writing this, I still feel super tired. But the whole experience was for sure worth it."
